Knowing the Savior and Making Him Known

Tuesday 11/11/2025 Devotional

To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Colossians 1:27

There was a great mystery, hidden throughout the ages since creation, but hinted at and prophesied all through the Old Testament Scriptures; God’s ultimate plan to redeem us. Finally, it was revealed by the Lord Himself and then through His Apostles as they taught and wrote the books of the New Testament.

This mystery is the secret that unlocks God’s power to overcome my deeply ingrained sinful habits and the weakness and corruption of my old, sinful nature. He redeems me from the guilt and condemnation I had earned by taking it all on Himself, and then He comes to dwell inside of me: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

Because He lives in me, and I can feel how He is working in my heart, changing me, I live in the joyful anticipation of the glory that’s coming: my home in heaven as a child of God, and my final, complete deliverance from all the results of sin in this life.

Living in hope, as He works on my insides in the here and now: Christ in me, the Hope of Glory.

Lord Jesus, thank you for coming to dwell inside of me; for doing Your work in my heart, and for the assurance of even better things to come. Keep me close, today, Lord! Amen.
