Knowing the Savior and Making Him Known

Tuesday 3/17/2026 Devotional

Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; from the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint. Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I, for You have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.
Psalm 61:1-3

When you’re in danger of being overwhelmed, you fight your way back to the stronghold, the refuge. If you can make it there, you’ll be safe.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.
Proverbs 18:10

Jesus is the Rock that is higher than I, my refuge against the enemy; the strong tower to which I can flee for safety when everything is falling apart, when temptations overwhelm me and I can’t see my way out.

Jesus is your stronghold. The good news is that He is with you always, an ever present help in trouble. You don’t have far to run; He’s right there. Go to Him!

Lord Jesus, lead me to the Rock. In the fog of war I lose my way and can’t remember which way to turn. Remind me, when I forget, where my safety lies. Amen.
