Knowing the Savior and Making Him Known

Tuesday 1//6/2026 Devotional

But according to His promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by Him without spot or blemish, and at peace. And count the patience of our Lord as salvation…
2 Peter 3:13-15

God is astonishingly patient. His sense of time is not the same as ours. We live within time and its limitations while He, who created time, lives above it. He sees the end from the beginning, and everything in between; It’s the “in between” stuff that we struggle with.

Being able to trust that God is in control of it all, sees it all, lovingly directs it all and guides us through it fills us with peace and frees us up to concentrate on living a life “without spot or blemish.”

Lord, help me to keep my eyes on what’s important. What I can’t control, I entrust to You. Give me strength to live within my limitations as You would have me live, in true repentance and true faith, and thank You for your unending patience with me as I work on getting it right. Amen.
