Do not call conspiracy all that this people calls conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread. But the Lord of hosts, Him you shall honor as holy. Let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread.

There are a lot of websites, e-mail campaigns, viral videos, and “influencers” who have an explanation to offer for everything that happens. Everything in the news seems to fit into their personal conspiracy theory, even though the next one you see will have a theory that contradicts the first one in its efforts to explain the same news.

If you took even a fraction of these pundits seriously you’d be in a constant state of nervous anxiety. Some of them might even be right about one thing or another, but it’s hard to tell what’s true and what’s completely fabricated out of nothing.

But for us, the bottom line is that God is in control of it all. Jesus is Lord of all, King over all the kings and “wannabe” kings of the earth. I need to more focused on getting it right with Him than on the latest survival plan or conspiracy theory.

My life is in His hands, no one else’s. I can entrust my life, my health, my family and my eternal soul to Him.

Lord, help me to keep my eyes, my fear and my trust fixed on You, no matter what “they” say. I’ll take Your peace over the world’s chaos. Amen.
