May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.
2 Thessalonians 3:5

The Holy Spirit directs our hearts from the inside, both to receive the love of God and the steadfastness of Christ, and to express, ourselves, that same love and faithfulness, as followers of Christ.

God’s unfailing love invokes unselfish love in us in return. His faithfulness, His steadfast commitment to His own Word, causes us to respond in the same way.

The more I understand and experience His love and His steadfastness, the more like Him I become in this regard.

Lord, draw me closer into this understanding and experience, that change my way of thinking, feeling, and being. Let me see it happen today, for Your sake. Amen.
