Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits,
who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Psalm 103:2-5
He forgives all my iniquity: that sinful twistedness, that perversion inherent in my soul. He forgives it!
He heals all my diseases. He has healed me so many times of one thing after another, and even that final disease that will carry me away from this life will be healed in the resurrection.
He redeems my life from the pit, not only the pit of the grave but from the hole I seem to keep digging myself into!
He never gets tired of pouring out His love and mercy on me. Instead of punishing me according to my stupidity, he still forgives and loves on me.
He satisfies me, body and soul, with good. Good things that I don’t deserve come to me every day.
I’m not getting any younger, but the young-ness of my heart is renewed constantly. Every day I’m discovering new, wonderful things I had never known before, like an adolescent just discovering the world around him. I love it!
Lord Jesus, I bless You. I can’t say enough good about You.
Thank You!
Thank You!
Amen!
