Knowing the Savior and Making Him Known

Monday 4/6/2026 Devotional

Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by Your name, O Lord, God of hosts.
Jeremiah 15:16

I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in Me may not remain in darkness.
John 12:46

The Lord Jesus said that He came as the Light of the World, so that we wouldn’t have to stumble in the dark any more. When we receive Him into our hearts, trust in His forgiveness and let Him call the shots for us, suddenly the Bible makes sense.

Where before, reading the Bible seemed like an impossible task, now I devour it. Every day I get the vital nutrients from it that my soul needs. It becomes a delight to see what I will discover there today.

God’s Word changes your heart. It turns on the lights for you so that you can see what’s going on around you. Without it we’re like blind men stumbling through life in the dark, wondering what hit us. When you let the light of God’s Word in, you begin to see the world in a whole new way.

What seemed like wisdom before is exposed for the nonsense that it really is. Right and wrong are suddenly made clear. Our choices become simpler: just do it God’s way, trusting in Him to make it work.

Lord, I want find your Word, eat it, fill my belly with it, and digest it. Delight my soul with the discovery of knowing and following You.
Amen!
