Who is the man who fears the Lord? Him will He instruct in the way that he should choose.
Psalm 25:12

Living in the fear of God, taking God’s opinion of my choices into account, aware of His judgment and putting my hope for the future in His blessing puts me into the position of being surely instructed by Him in the way I should choose, day by day.

I may not like the lessons as they are given. All discipline is painful at the moment, but the result of His instruction is unimaginably better than anything I could figure out in my own. It’s worth it.

Lord, be patient with me. I want to do this Your way, but I’m a slow learner in these things. Open the ears of my heart to Your Word so that I hear Your instructions, respond to Your leading, and choose the right way to go, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.
